About me
Because I was raised in an agricultural community outside of Charlotte, my first ACTE instructors were the farmers I did general labor for, the entrepreneur who ran the local fish camp where I washed dishes, and my grandfather who had a woodworking and welding shop next door.
Once I began my teaching and coaching career, during the weekends and summers, I was fortunate to use my CDL (from activity-bus driving) to operate a dump truck and various equipment for a small construction company as well as work various jobs in the hospitality industry.
Then I joined the educational publishing world and have spent several years working with schools mostly in the Southeast but also across the US and in a handful of other countries acquiring and implementing new curriculum and best practices with digital instruction.
I’m thrilled to be part of the College and Career Ready team for Savvas Learning, especially in this era of increasing support and appreciation for the life-changing opportunities ACTE gives our students!
